What We Collect

AutoHide stores only the minimum data required to operate:

Shop domain
Encrypted access token
Plan tier (FREE or PRO)
App settings (auto-hide, auto-restore, redirect, and email preferences)
Product IDs and titles
Activity timestamps

What We Don't Collect

AutoHide does not collect or store:

Store owner name
Email address
Phone number
Physical address
Customer data
Order data

Why Permissions Show More

During installation, Shopify's OAuth consent screen may show “View personal data” permissions. This is Shopify's standard permission bundling — all apps receive basic shop info access. AutoHide only uses product and inventory data to hide and restore items automatically. We never access or store personal contact information.

How We Use Data

The data we collect is used exclusively to:

Automatically hide out-of-stock products and restore them when inventory returns
Log activity for your review
Enforce plan limits

Data Retention

Free plan: 7-day activity log retention
Pro plan: 30-day activity log retention
Product state records are maintained while the app is installed

Data Deletion

All data is permanently deleted when you uninstall the app. This includes merchant settings, product states, activity logs, and encrypted tokens.

You can also request data deletion at any time by contacting us at the email address below.

Third-Party Services

AutoHide uses the following third-party services:

PostgreSQL database hosted on Railway — stores all app data
Sentry — error monitoring and performance tracking
SendGrid — email notifications (Pro plan only)
