AutoHide Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By installing or using AutoHide (“the app”), you (“the merchant”) agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not install the app.

2. Description of Service

AutoHide is a Shopify application that automatically hides products from your online storefront when inventory reaches zero and restores them when inventory returns. The app operates through Shopify’s APIs and does not modify your theme code.

3. Eligibility

You must be a Shopify store owner or authorized administrator to install and use AutoHide. You must have a valid Shopify subscription.

4. Plans and Pricing

Free Plan:

Auto-hide and auto-restore for up to 100 products
7-day activity log
Up to 3 product exclusions

Pro Plan ($5.99/month):

Unlimited products
30-day activity log
Redirect sold-out product URLs to collection pages
Daily email digest notifications
Unlimited exclusion rules
Priority support

The Pro plan includes a 30-day free trial. Billing is handled through Shopify’s App Subscriptions API. You can cancel at any time through your Shopify admin.

We may change pricing with 30 days’ notice. Existing subscribers will be notified before any price change takes effect.

5. How the App Works

AutoHide listens for inventory changes via Shopify webhooks
When a product’s total inventory across all locations reaches zero, the app removes it from your Online Store sales channel (unlisting it)
When inventory is restored above zero, the app re-publishes the product to your Online Store sales channel
Products are unlisted, not archived — URLs stay accessible and SEO is preserved
A 5-second debounce prevents rapid repeated actions during bulk inventory updates

6. Limitations

No guarantee of timing. While we target sub-60-second response times, webhook delivery depends on Shopify’s infrastructure and may occasionally be delayed.
No guarantee of uptime. We target 99.5% uptime but do not offer a formal SLA.
Product limit on Free plan. Only the first 100 products (by creation date) are monitored on the Free plan.
Not inventory management. AutoHide manages product visibility, not inventory levels.
Shopify API dependency. Changes to Shopify’s platform may temporarily affect functionality.

7. Your Responsibilities

Maintain a valid Shopify subscription
Ensure your store’s inventory data is accurate
Review the activity log periodically to confirm expected behavior
Contact us if you notice unexpected hiding or restoring of products

8. Data and Privacy

Your data is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy. We only store shop domain, encrypted access tokens, app settings, and product activity data. We never store personal contact information. All data is deleted when you uninstall.

9. Intellectual Property

AutoHide and its code, design, and documentation are the intellectual property of the app’s developer. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the app for the duration of your subscription.

10. Termination

By you: Uninstall the app at any time through your Shopify admin. Your subscription will be cancelled and all data deleted.
By us: We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these terms, misuse the API, or engage in activity that harms our infrastructure. We will provide notice when possible.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, AutoHide and its developer shall not be liable for lost revenue, profits, or sales resulting from products being hidden or not hidden, indirect or consequential damages, or damages arising from Shopify platform changes or API outages.

Total liability for any claim shall not exceed the fees paid to us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

12. Changes to Terms

We may update these terms with 30 days’ notice. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance. Material changes will be communicated through the app or via email.
